Oracle Health, the nation’s second-largest EHR vendor by hospital market share, had a busy October with a new product launch and system rollout plans.
Here are seven updates on the company in the past month:
1. EHR vendors like Oracle Health are developing or have introduced their own AI solutions, as health systems increasingly rely on AI scribe vendors for workflows, Menlo Ventures reported Oct. 21.
2. Oracle can begin construction on a new world headquarters in Nashville, Tenn., after getting approval from the city’s Metro Council, NewsChannel5 reported Oct. 21.
3. From plans to embed OpenAI technology into its patient portal to expanding its collaboration with Ascension, EHR giant Oracle Health has grown or forged at least a half-dozen new partnerships in 2025, Becker’s reported Oct. 20.
4. Baltimore-based LifeBridge Health said Oct. 16 that some of its patients were affected by a cybersecurity incident involving Oracle Health, the EHR vendor formerly known as Cerner.
5. At least 13 hospitals, health systems or other healthcare organizations have announced plans to transition to, or have already implemented, an Oracle Health EHR in 2025, Becker’s reported Oct. 13.
6. Oracle Health launched its new Connection Hub on Oct. 9, a tool designed to help healthcare providers manage and share patient data through a single console.
7. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs said Oct. 8 it will expand its Oracle Health EHR to nine additional medical centers and their associated clinics in 2026.
