CMS’ Electronic Health Record Incentive Payments Topped $850M by End of September

CMS has distributed more than $850 million in incentive payments under the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program as of Sept. 30, according to a news release by the Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society.

In addition, more than 114,000 eligible providers and hospitals had registered for the program by the end of September.

Nov. 30 is the last day eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals can register and attest to receive incentive payments for federal fiscal year 2011.
