The survey results, based on responses from 298 senior IT executives, revealed the following to be hospitals’ top IT priorities in the next two years:
- Meeting meaningful use (25 percent)
- Optimizing use of current systems (19 percent)
- Leveraging information (17 percent)
- Completing ICD-10 conversion (16 percent)
- Focusing on clinical systems (7 percent)
- Adding IT support for risk-based contracting (3 percent)
- Demonstrating ability to exchange information (3 percent)
