Here are six healthcare partnerships with tech companies Amazon, Microsoft and Google that Becker’s Hospital Review has reported on since Jan. 18.
- On Jan. 18, the Department of Veterans Affairs signed a $13 million deal with Google Cloud to deploy Apigee, its application programming interface management platform. The platform gives developers access to the VA’s APIs to develop new tools and services.
- On March 1, New York City-based Mount Sinai said that Microsoft would help provide quality assurance during the health system’s cloud migration process.
- On March 23, Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic launched a 20-week program in partnership with Google and Epic Systems to get healthcare artificial intelligence startups prepared to enter the market.
- In March, Mayo Clinic teamed up with Google to use its artificial intelligence natural language processing tool to better track and analyze language-based information in patients’ EHRs.
- Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger tapped Amazon as its strategic cloud provider and plans to transition its entire digital portfolio of more than 400 applications and numerous workflows to Amazon Web Services.
- Boston-based Tufts Medicine worked with Amazon to move its entire digital healthcare ecosystem, including more than 3 million health accounts, into the Epic EHR using Amazon Web Services.
