7 recent vendor contracts, go lives

Here are seven recent health information technology vendor contracts and go-lives affecting healthcare organizations.

1. Meditech will deploy its web-based EHR system Expanse at Aga Khan University in Nairobi, Kenya.

2. Durham, N.C.-based Duke Health released a new mobile and desktop application powered by American Well's telehealth platform that allows patients to receive 24/7 virtual urgent care.

3. Lake Health District hospital in Lakeview, Ore., will implement a Cerner EHR system by 2020.

4. New Hanover Regional Medical Center launched its new mobile wayfinding platform, developed by Gozio Health, that helps patients navigate facilities and appointment directions.

5. Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, Conn., will transition to an Epic EHR system Oct. 1.

6. Jerseyville, Ill.-based Jersey Community Hospital partnered with Eagle Telemedicine to launch a virtual care hospitalist program to help address onsite staffing challenges.

7. University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City tapped Charlottesville, Va.-based Locus Health to provide patients and their families with software to monitor vital health information from home.
