- Laptops: 87 percent
- Computers/workstations on wheels: 81 percent
- Smartphones: 69 percent
- Pagers: 67 percent
- Cellular phones (not smartphones): 56 percent
- Tablets not specifically designed for healthcare: 44 percent
- Tablets designed for healthcare use: 43 percent
Survey results were based on responses from 170 health IT executives from a variety of healthcare organizations. About two-thirds of respondents work for hospitals or integrated delivery systems, and 14 percent for ambulatory facilities or physician practices.
