Kaiser opens 3 medical offices in Northern California

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente on Jan. 3 opened three new medical offices in Santa Cruz County, marking its first market expansion in Northern California in more than two decades, The Mercury News reports.

The new medical offices will serve Kaiser’s 5,800 members of its insurance plan who live in Santa Cruz County. The health system and payer projects it will enroll an additional 7,200 members in the county by the end of 2017, according to the report.

The three offices will each offer primary care services, including family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry and other mental health and wellness services, according to the report.

At least 40 Kaiser specialty and primary care physicians will serve Santa Cruz County residents across the three medical offices.
