Chicago-based Rush University System for Health received a $13.5 million gift from an anonymous donor to support health equity initiatives.
The gift will support community programs and clinics, as well as education and training programs, according to a Sept. 14 health system news release.
The funding will support the Rush Center for Community Well-Being at Sankofa, which opened in April, along with the Rush University College of Nursing Sue Gin Health Center at BUILD and Rush University College of Nursing’s Faculty Practice.
The gift also will support Family Connects Chicago at RUSH and scholarships for Rush University students and emerging social work clinicians.
Rush plans to concentrate investment through its Without Boundaries: The RUSH Campaign in six strategic priorities: neuroscience, cancer, bone and joint, education and workforce development, health equity and innovation.
