The Kenosha Common Council approved the rezoning of property for the project Jan. 18, according to the report.
The $130 million ASC will offer services such as general surgery, orthopedics, urology, primary care, rehabilitation services, imaging, laboratory services, occupational health, a variety of specialty care services and a pharmacy. The new facility is expected to create as many as 140 new healthcare jobs.
Plans for the facility include a 100,000-square-foot ASC and a three-story, 100,000-square-foot professional office building. The building will be able to accommodate future expansion if warranted by healthcare needs in the community.
