The partnership aims to deliver health data and population heath insights to state Medicaid, CMS and managed care stakeholders as the amount of money spent on National Medicaid is expected to increase from $629 billion to more than $884 billion in the next five years, according to the news release.
Cerner will link its EHR systems and population health management platform HealtheIntent with i2i’s product suite. The bi-directional integration will grant Cerner and i2i clients access to population health management capabilities to deliver data-driven insights and help clients better address the needs of their Medicaid population.
The combined population health management tools aim to drive support for community health centers, primary care association and rural health systems clients, said Chad Haynes, vice president of strategic growth and state government and Medicaid at Cerner, according to the news release.
I2i serves an estimated 25 percent of the country’s federally qualified health centers and manages more than 20 million Medicaid patients with its population health platform.
