Virtual care provider Teladoc Health launched a virtual care model that it said aims to replace fragmented, condition-by-condition care with a single, adaptive experience built around each patient’s full health needs, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
The model, Teladoc One, was built drawing upon the company’s experience in delivering more than 100 million virtual visits across primary care, mental health care, chronic illness and acute care. The model also incorporates Teladoc’s Pulse intelligence engine, which pairs a member’s clinical history with claims, pharmacy, device and medical record data to surface needs and coordinate care. Ethan Berke, MD, chief medical officer, called it “a proactive, always-on model” that enables holistic care “in ways we couldn’t before.”
Each patient is supported by a multidisciplinary care team spanning licensed clinicians, certified health coaches, registered dietitians and mental health therapists, as well as a human care guide who coordinates across in-network providers, and AI support.
As a signal of the confidence the company has in this model, Teladoc Health also said it is fully tying its fee payments to clinical outcome metrics and total cost of care improvement. “The industry’s current approach of treating one disease at a time isn’t the answer,” Kelly Bliss, president of U.S. group health at Teladoc Health, said. “Teladoc One changes that.”
Programs under Teladoc One will launch with select clients in September 2026, initially targeting cardiometabolic populations, with broader availability beginning January 2027, according to the release.
