Emory Healthcare will collaborate on research to develop and implement Vital’s software. Vital applies artificial intelligence and natural language processing directly to the EHR to triage patients before they see a physician.

The pilot program is being implemented at EDs of Emory University Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

Vital is the first partnership from the Emory University Innovation Hub, which seeks to meet patient needs with innovative technology solutions.
