Grocery chain Kroger plans to shutter all of its retail health clinics in the state of Georgia.
The company will close the 18 Little Clinic sites, which offer walk-in, immediate care, April 4.
“We have enjoyed serving the Georgia community for the last several years through our clinics,” a Kroger spokesperson emailed Becker’s on Feb. 5. “We invite our valued patients to continue using the pharmacies conveniently located in Kroger stores.”
Kroger still has around 200 Little Clinic locations across Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia, as well as telehealth services in nine states. The company joins competitors such as Walmart, Walgreens and CVS that have also downsized their retail health clinic footprints in recent years.
