Mr. Namer previously served as a marketing manager for Google Health. In his new role at Verily, Mr. Namer will oversee marketing efforts for the company’s health platforms.
In December 2020, Verily raised $700 million to support the expansion of its health platforms, which include its clinical research platform, Baseline, and Verily Health Platforms, a population health, clinical care delivery and chronic disease management platform.
Verily has welcomed a string of new leadership hires this year. In June, the company named former FDA Deputy Commissioner Amy Abernethy, MD, PhD, head of Baseline. Verily also appointed Kerrier Peraino as chief people officer, Lisa Greenbaum as its first chief revenue officer, Preston Simons as CIO and Andreas Panayiotou as chief marketing officer.
