Hospital rebrands: 6 recent name changes

Here are six hospitals and health systems that have announced name changes or other rebranding efforts since Feb. 28.

  1. Bethany, Okla.-based Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital was renamed Bethany Children’s Health Center.

  2. Burlington, Mass.-based Wellforce changed its name to Tufts Medicine.

  3. Toledo, Ohio-based Mercy Health-Children's Hospital was renamed Nationwide Children's Hospital-Toledo after Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Children's Hospital took over as owner.

  4. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare renamed and rebranded 49 hospitals and hundreds of other care sites in Florida to unite affiliated HCA health systems and hospitals under one shared brand.

  5. A Veterans Affairs medical center in San Diego was renamed Jennifer Moreno Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in honor of a fallen Army nurse.

  6. Henry Ford Health System dropped "system" from its name and launched a rebranding campaign, including a new logo.
