308-bed Steward hospital becomes teaching facility of Boston University med school

St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, a 308-bed hospital in Boston owned by Steward Health Care, signed an agreement to become a teaching facility for the Boston University School of Medicine.

The new partnership, announced May 3, will expand medical education programs at the hospital and will provide teaching opportunities for physicians. 

The hospital will be rebranded as St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, a Boston University Teaching Hospital. 

Steward Health Care is a physician-owned health system based in Dallas with 34 hospitals across the U.S.
