Dallas-based UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health received a $25 million gift from the Harry W. Bass, Jr. Foundation to support their joint pediatric campus.

The $5 billion campus is under construction in Dallas’ Southwestern Medical District across from UT Southwestern’s William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, according to an Oct. 3 news release. It broke ground in October 2024 and is expected to open in 2031.

The facility will include Moody Children’s Hospital, featuring two 12-story towers and one eight-story tower. A specialty outpatient center will include the Harry W. Bass, Jr. Foundation Lobby in recognition of the gift, which was directed through Southwestern Medical Foundation.

UT Southwestern and Children’s Health received a nine-figure grant from the Moody Foundation in May in support of the project.
