Hospital CEO Craig Saylor said the obstetrics department will now close Sept 19. Officials previously expected the department to close within 60 days of when the closure was announced on Sept. 3.

“The fact that there is not enough staff means that we will close earlier than we had thought,” Mr. Saylor told Daily American.
