Plans for the updated clinic include an expanded $7.5 million audiology clinic expected to open within two months, a new $3.9 million main entrance that will be safer and easier for veterans to navigate and a $9 million parking garage that will create 140 more parking spots and free up space for future expansion.
The clinic is moving mental health services offsite to a leased location and opening a new, centralized call center to improve care and service for veterans.
“You cannot have exceptional care if you don’t have access to it,” said Farid Mehr, chief of engineering service for the clinic. “And when you are sick, you need to be able to reach us. It’s as simple as that.”
