ProHealth Care breaks ground on $55M Wisconsin hospital

Waukesha, Wis.-based ProHealth Care will spend $55 million to expand its Mukwonago, Wis., clinic into a 24-bed hospital, according to

The health system added a 66,000-square-foot emergency department to the clinic in 2015 and recently finished an addition that included physician offices. The expanded hospital will add 100 new jobs to the facility.

"Waukesha County is a wonderful place to live and work, and the people of ProHealth Care are privileged to care for our friends and neighbors here," said Susan Edwards, CEO of ProHealth Care. "The project we're celebrating today is part of our commitment to maintaining a strong, vibrant and independent health care system that will provide outstanding care for people in Waukesha County and surrounding communities for many years to come."
