Michigan health system plans new hospital

Sandusky, Mich.-based McKenzie Health System is applying for a United States Department of Agriculture loan to help cover the costs of a new hospital in Sandusky, the Times Herald reported April 7.

The hospital would replace McKenzie’s current aging facility in Sandusky. The new hospital would be built on 22 acres of land the health system bought four years ago.

If the system is approved for the loan, construction could start next spring.
