CHI Franciscan Health to build new $484M hospital at Harrison Medical Center-Silverdale

The Washington State Department of Health has approved Tacoma, Wash.-based CHI Franciscan Health’s certificate of need requesting permission to build a new hospital at Harrison Medical Center-Silverdale (Wash.).

The $484 million expansion will include new medical technology, a new acute care center and efficient design to support coordinated care. It will have private patient room with dedicated guest accommodations, service elevators better suited to serve critical care patients and improved access to patients on all nursing units.

The medical center will provide critical acute care services, such as heart care, a Level III trauma center and an integrated cancer center.
