Here are three things to know about the facility.
1. The nearly 90,000-square-foot addition to the STC Nursing and Allied Health building is slated to include a hospital simulation center, where students can practice their clinical studies, and an additional lab to offer new programs such as radiology, sonography and surgical tech, according to the report.
2. STC hopes to accommodate about 700 more students per school year as a result of the additional facilities.
3. The $24 million facility is scheduled to be completed by the spring of 2017.
