Mr. Biediger joined the hospital as executive vice president and COO in 1989 before becoming president and CEO in 1996.
Over the course of his 25-year career with Lexington, Mr. Biediger is credited with leading Lexington Medical Center through multiple expansion projects. The hospital had 292 beds when he became CEO. Today, the hospital consists of a 414-bed main campus, six medical and urgent care centers, an occupational health center, an extended care facility, an Alzheimer’s care center and a network of more than 600 physicians and 60 medical practices, according to the report.
