Denise Ray, BSN, RN. CEO of Piedmont Mountainside Hospital (Jasper, Ga.). Ms. Ray spent time as COO of Atlanta-based Piedmont Hospital and president and chief administrative officer of Piedmont Mountainside Hospital before she became CEO. While COO of Piedmont Hospital, Ms. Ray achieved $13 million in cost savings over three years. She now oversees operations at the 52-bed Piedmont Mountainside, caring for Pickens County residents. The hospital has more than 400 employees and 200 physicians.
