John Chessare, MD. President and CEO of Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Chessare became president and CEO of Greater Baltimore Medical Center in June 2010. He is responsible for the 270-bed nonprofit hospital as well as Greater Baltimore Medical Associates, a 40-physician medical group. Dr. Chessare previously served as president of Boston-based Caritas Christi Health Care System’s Caritas Norwood Hospital and senior vice president of quality and patient safety for the health system. Dr. Chessare has experience leading administrative teams to improve health outcomes as well as patient and staff satisfaction. He previously served on the faculty for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a Cambridge, Mass.-based nonprofit organization with the goal of improving healthcare worldwide.
