14 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health and HealthSouth in Birmingham, Ala., selected Anita Prendergast to helm a joint inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Winston-Salem.

2. Austin, Texas-based St. David's Round Rock Medical Center has named Jeremy Barclay CEO.

3. Michael Kerner, CEO of Bon Secours Hampton Roads (Va.) health system, is stepping down.

4. Hancock, Mich.-based Upper Peninsula Health System-Portage CEO Jeff Lang is leaving his position.

5. Lowville, N.Y.-based Lewis County General Hospital has appointed Gerald Cayer, MPH, as CEO.

6. Florida Hospital Zephyrhilis has appointed Amanda Maggard CEO, effective September 4.

7. Osage Beach, Mo.-based Lake Regional Health System has appointed Dane Henry CEO effective September 18.

8. Columbia-based Health Sciences South Carolina, a health data and research collaborative that includes the state's largest research universities and health systems, named Kenneth Deans Jr. CEO.

9. Ron Lampert, CEO of Madison, Wis.-based Journey Mental Health, will resign after just over one year on the job.

10. Alexander Hatala retired as CEO of Camden, N.J.-based Lourdes Health System.

11. Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System appointed Joan Coffman president and CEO of its St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, Ill., effective Sept. 5.

12. Kalispell (Mont.) Regional Healthcare named Pamela Robertson CEO, effective Sept. 15

13. University of New Mexico (Albuquerque) Hospitals CEO Steve McKernan will retire effective October 1.

14. Michael Rembis, FACHE, has been named the new CEO of Wailuku, Hawaii-based Maui Health System effective August 21.
