Here are three things to know about Mr. Deans.
1. Prior to joining HSSC, he was vice president and COO of Chesapeake (Va.) Regional Healthcare.
2. Mr. Deans has spent two decades of his career “specifically focused on advancing healthcare IT in research-oriented as well as traditional health systems,” according to HSSC
3. In his new role at HSSC, he replaces former President Jay Moskowitz, PhD, who was leading the organization on an interim basis.
