11 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Coffeyville (Kan.) Regional Medical Center named Mark Woodring, PhD, CEO, effective May 18.

2. St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga., named Kirk Wilson interim president and CEO.

3. Michael McEachern, CEO of Bowie (Texas) Memorial Hospital, resigned. He will depart from the hospital in mid-May.

4. Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System announced the appointment of James F. Dover as president and CEO of the system's Southern Illinois Division, effective May 26.

5. John Comstock, president and CEO of Cherokee (Iowa) Regional Medical Center, announced plans to retire in September.

6. Middlebury, Vt.-based Porter Medical Center announced the appointment of Lynn Boggs, RN, as president and CEO to replace James L. Daily, who is retiring this year after 31 years in the role.

7. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital announced the appointment of Kyle Price as the next CEO, effective April 5.

8. Greenville, N.C.-based Vidant Health named Michael Waldrum, MD, CEO.

9. Mike Ellis, CEO of Alpine, Texas-based Big Bend Regional Medical Center is leaving to lead Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas.

10. Josiah "Sy" Johnson, CEO and chief mission officer of the PeaceHealth Columbia Network is leaving Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth April 24.

Editor's note: The appointment of David Lopez as CEO of Chandler, Ariz.-based MJD Healthcare was initially included in the list, but the announcement of his appointment was issued in error and has since been retracted.
