Big Bend Regional Medical Center CEO leaving for Hill Regional Hospital job

Mike Ellis, CEO of Alpine, Texas-based Big Bend Regional Medical Center is leaving to lead Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas, according to the Alpine Avalanche.

Mr. Ellis has more than 20 years of hospital management experience. He has served as CEO of Big Bend Regional Medical Center for the last seven years. During his tenure at the hospital, he oversaw the construction of a new primary care clinic in the hospital and a satellite clinic in Presidio, Texas. He is also credited for recruiting physicians in numerous specialty areas.

Several candidates to replace Mr. Ellis are being considered, and he will remain in his position until a replacement is found, according to the report.
