Dr. Waldrum previously served as CEO of The University of Arizona Health Network in Tucson until it merged with Phoenix-based Banner Health earlier this year.
Dr. Waldrum replaces interim CEO Janet Mullaney, who had been serving in the position since former Vidant Health CEO David Herman, MD, resigned last fall. Ms. Mullaney will return to her prior role as chief administrative officer once Dr. Waldrum arrives. His exact start date has not yet been determined.
