The gift will support initiatives based on early brain development research to ensure children receive proper care throughout the first few years of their lives. Additionally, the funding will establish new staff positions, support research, enhance training for staff members and bridge a partnership between the hospital’s Department of Population Health and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
“This generous gift from the Bezos Family Foundation represents a major milestone in our institution’s history. What our talented physicians, researchers, and staff will be able to accomplish thanks to the Foundation’s support will enable NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn to provide outstanding care for the community — making us a destination for growing families” Bret J. Rudy, MD, NYU Langone Hospital’s executive hospital director and senior vice president, said.
The Bezos Family Foundation, established by Jackie and Mike Bezos, supports preparing proper learning environments from birth to ensure young individuals can reach their full potential.
