7 RCM hires in August

The following organizations announced they hired individuals with revenue cycle management experience, or for a RCM-related role, in August.

1. The American Health Council, a collaboration for advancement in healthcare, added Stephanie DeHart-Giberson, director of health information management/patient access and revenue cycle at Oskaloosa, Iowa-based hospital Mahaska Health Partnership, to its industry board.

2. Quadax, a healthcare IT and revenue cycle company in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, named Walt Williams director of revenue cycle optimization and strategy.

3. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's revenue cycle subsidiary, Frisco, Texas-based Conifer Health Solutions, named James "Jim" Logsdon president of its hospital revenue cycle management business unit.

4. Chicago-based R1 RCM, a provider of revenue cycle management and physician advisory services, named Gary Long executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

5. Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health named Jon Vanator CFO of its East Central Region, which includes Muncie, Ind.-based IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital and Hartford City, Ind.-based IU Health Blackford Hospital. Mr. Vanator previously served IU Health as vice president for systemwide revenue cycle services.

6. Kensington, Calif.-based consulting firm Freed Associates hired Shirley Kwok as a healthcare consultant. Ms. Kwok, who has significant population health knowledge as well as experience with areas such as value-based payment and revenue cycle management, will join the Northern California team, according to Freed.

7. Alpharetta, Ga.-based revenue cycle management company nThrive named Carl Couch, MD, CMO.
