Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Breaks Ground on New Hospital Facility

Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Va., announced it has broken ground on the new Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onley, Va.

The new 155,000-square-foot hospital will include 57 private inpatient rooms, three operating rooms, an intensive care unit, a 24-hour emergency department, 10 infusion areas, a diagnostic center and a cancer center. A 44,000-square-foot medical office building will also be built adjacent to the hospital.

Construction is expected to be complete by late 2015.

According to previous reports, the existing Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital will eventually relocate to the new facility.
