Meridian Health, which already operates four hospitals, said the merger achieved state approval after nearly a year of due diligence review.
The hospital network said the merger would enhance community services, decrease costs through shared efficiencies and purchasing opportunities and provide new academic and research opportunities for the Manahawkin hospital.
