Laura Smith. CIO of UnityPoint Health System (West Des Moines, Iowa). Ms. Smith became CIO of UnityPoint Health in August 2016 after spending three years as vice president of IT operations of the three-hospital system. Under her leadership, the system implemented Epic technology solutions and the Lawson suite of business applications. Her previous experience includes time as executive director of customer care with the system.
