Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Allina Health (Minneapolis). Abbott Northwestern serves more than 200,000 patients across Minneapolis/St. Paul and the upper Midwest. The hospital traces its roots back to 1882 when it opened as a charity hospital in a small rented house. Abbott Northwestern has formed many community partnerships over the years, including efforts to revitalize Minneapolis neighborhoods, promote wellness and reduce disparities in social determinants of health.
