TytoCare, Amazon partner to enhance telehealth capabilities at 150 health systems, payers

Amazon inked a partnership with TytoCare, which uses remote exam kits for virtual care, to enhance telehealth capabilities.

Three notes:

  1. The partnership will improve video quality, screen sharing, multiparty calls and the ability for clinicians to conduct virtual visits on any tablet, according to an Oct. 18 news release.
  2. TytoCare uses artificial intelligence and a remote exam kit to examine a patient’s skin, ears, throat, lungs, heart rate and more, to pair with telehealth visits.
  3. TytoCare works with more than 150 major health systems, payers and strategic partners in the United States, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Israel. Healthcare organizations with which TytoCare has partnered include Coral Gables-based Baptist Health South Florida, Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health, Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital and Epic.
