Spectrum Health (Grand Rapids, Mich.). Spectrum Health is a nonprofit health system with 12 hospitals, 180 ambulatory service sites and around 3,200 physicians. The health system includes a 795,000-member health plan, Priority Health. As the largest employer in Western Michigan with around 25,400 employees, Spectrum Health provided more than $326 million in community benefit during the 2016 fiscal year. For the past six years, Truven Health Analytics named Spectrum among its list of 15 Top Health Systems in the nation in 2017, marking the system’s sixth time on the list.
