Michigan Medicine (Ann Arbor). With 1,000 licensed medical and surgical beds and 26,000 employees, Michigan Medicine is one of the state’s largest hospitals and academic medical centers. The brand includes its hospitals and clinics, medical school, faculty group practice, nursing school and biomedical research community. The academic medical center ranks as the No. 1 hospital in the state, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2016-17 rankings.
