Madison (S.D.) Community Hospital. Madison Community Hospital, which has 200 employees, has been serving Madison and other communities in the area for more than 100 years. However, this independent hospital will soon have a new name and new digs, as it will move into a newly built hospital and clinic in October and rebrand itself as Madison Regional Health System. MCH has been named as one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation by the National Rural Health Association for the past two years. It also earned a spot on iVantage Health Analytics’ Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals list in 2014 and 2015.
