The second Consumer Voices Survey, which was administered in April, found healthcare was the most often cited set of concerns among American adults, as indicated by nearly a quarter of respondents. The survey also found Americans have grown increasingly worried about healthcare from the beginning of the year.
Here are three findings from the survey.
1. More than half (57 percent) of respondents indicated they’re unsure if they and their loved ones will be able to afford healthcare coverage.
2. Forty-one percent of respondents say they are not confident that they will have access to the physicians, tests, treatments and medications they need, up from 35 percent in January.
3. More than three-quarters (78 percent) of respondents reported they believe the government should help ensure all people have access to affordable, quality healthcare.
A recent Gallup polled turned up similar results. Eighteen percent of respondents to that poll cited healthcare as the nation’s biggest problem, the same proportion that pointed to “dissatisfaction with government/poor leadership.”
