Community Hospital of Anaconda (Mont.). Located about 25 miles from Butte, Mont., in the southwestern part of the state, Community Hospital of Anaconda has served Anaconda-Deer Lodge County since 1889. The hospital has earned several accolades this year, including being named a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital for the fifth year in a row by iVantage Health Analytics. CareChex also ranked the hospital within the top 10 in the state in overall hospital and surgical care this year. Additionally, the hospital is one of only two in the state recognized as a Baby-Friendly Hospital by Baby-Friendly USA.
