Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (Torrington, Conn.). Founded in 1916, the 109-plus-bed Charlotte Hungerford Hospitalserves 30 towns in northwest Connecticut. Charlotte Hungerford Hospital was named an iVantage Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital in 2016. This year, the hospital also received Healthgrades’ Patient Safety Excellence Award.
