4 US healthcare leaders named Fortune’s ‘most powerful’

Four U.S. healthcare leaders were named to Fortune’s “100 Most Powerful People in Business” list, published Aug. 5.

This is Fortune’s second annual ranking, which evaluates leaders based on their influence, business performance, innovation and broader impact. Editors scored candidates on metrics including business size and health, influence, trajectory and the ability to shape conversations in their industries. 

Here are the U.S. healthcare leaders recognized:

46. Dave Ricks — CEO of Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly

62. Reshma Kewalramani, MD — President and CEO of Boston-based Vertex Pharmaceuticals

76. Albert Bourla, PhD — CEO of New York City-based Pfizer

93. Josh Kushner — Co-founder of New York City-based Oscar Health

Two global healthcare leaders were also recognized: Emma Walmsley, CEO of GlaxoSmithKline, and Paul Hudson, CEO of Sanofi.
