Along with its well-known, researched university ranking lists, U.S. News takes its methodology a step further to dive deeper into which universities are best for specific subjects. Its subject-specific rankings, the outlet notes, are determined based on “publications and citations, as well as indicators for global and regional reputation in each specific subject.”
