Joint Commission’s first international joint venture aims to improve hospital management

Joint Commission International announced a new joint venture with China Resources Healthcare Group, marking JCI’s first joint venture abroad. The agreement established the Academy of Hospital Management in Beijing.

Through the venture and new academy, Joint Commission International will share its leading knowledge of quality and patient safety. JCI will provide training, education and publication services to develop local professionals in quality management and improve safety in Chinese healthcare organizations.

“CRHG is a great partner for JCI because it has a strong presence in the Chinese healthcare market, with a reputation for providing quality services,” said Paula Wilson, president and CEO of JCI. “They also have a strong management team focused on growth and improving China’s healthcare system. CRHG’s goals complement JCI’s goals in China.”
