The patient formerly sought care at Altenheim Senior Living but is not a current resident.

The source of the illness is still unknown. As a precautionary measure, the facility shut down the water system at its rehabilitation center.

“We appreciate the cooperation and patience shown by the staff and patients at the facility while we all work together to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Board of Health said in a press release cited by WKYC. “In conjunction with the Ohio Department of Health, we will provide updates as more information becomes available.”
