UnitedHealth Group’s Optum Rx will remove reauthorization requirements for more than 60 chronic disease medications on July 1.

The cuts are in addition to about 80 reauthorizations Optum Rx eliminated in March, which the company said will increase medication accessibility and improve health outcomes.

The 60-some medications include treatments for behavioral health, dry eye disease, high cholesterol, HIV and hypertension, according to a June 30 news release.
