Mylan is recalling two lots of levoleucovorin injection, a chemotherapy drug, because copper salts were found in the samples during a 12-month stability testing.

Pfizer’s Hospira plant is recalling three lots of a sodium bicarbonate injection after glass particles were discovered in some vials.

Neither company has received reports of adverse events related to the recall.

“Administration of a sterile injectable that has foreign particulates has the potential of severe health consequences,” Mylan said in the recall notice.

Both companies have notified their direct customers.
